Daily Musings: Who do you love?

Who do you love the most?
I honestly can't answer this question. I would like to say that I love Jesus the most, but my actions don't reflect that. I spend more time daily consuming things of the world rather than on my knees in prayer. When Jesus asks Peter three times, "Peter, do you love me?" I feel like he is asking me directly. And further, if I said yes to that question, would Jesus look at me quizzically and say,
"But do you love me the most?" Then what would I say?
"Yes, Jesus, I love you the most, but I spend more time complaining and fighting with my sister than praying." I think Fr. Larry Richards puts it best in his book, 'Be a Man!': "When we die, the God of love gives us what we love the most.' If you love God the most, then prepare for the greatest reward ever. If you love your smartphone the most, you might want to pack some sunscreen.
Your brother in Christ,
Jacob
