New Year's Revolution

Ah, yes.
A new year. A time to reflect on the past year in order to better ourselves. To continue succeeding in our strong points and improve our weaknesses.
Why is it that the new year brings about such a commitment to change, however short-lived it may be?
Maybe it’s knowing that we have a clean slate, another chance at living life extravagantly, rather than settling for another year of drab mediocrity. After a long year of living within yourself and following the crowd, this is the time to cut the apron strings that confine you to satisfying the world’s expectations. Perhaps, instead of taking the pain silently, this year is the time for standing up and fighting for your right to be heard.
This is the year for breaking our emotional walls and our spiritual chains. Friends, our hearts have been dormant far too long. We are made to run wild. Each January 1st, our hearts feel a little taste of this freedom, this commitment, this connection. This is the reason we feel the need to change for New Year’s.

Don’t be afraid to let your heart run wild.

It is, in fact, time.

2 Corinthians 5:17- Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
